Sri Kodandarama swami Temple

Kodandarama Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Rama, located in Vontimitta town in Rajampet taluk of Kadapa District in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the most popular temple in Kadapa District, peoples come here from all over the world for seek blessing and wish for their happy life to the lord. This temple is dedicated to the Lord Rama. Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple also has a rich historical background. It is supposed to have been constructed by a Chola king in the 10th centuary and rebuilt in 1481 CE. Rama temple in Tirupati is an ancient and peaceful temple whenever peoples visit there they feel calm and peaceful. Lord Rama along with the goddess Sita and Laxmana has been receiving devotee’s prayers and giving the blesses here from centuries.
This Kodanda Ramalayam is in the middle part of the Tirupati. This Ramalayam is situated within a distance of 1km from Tirupati railway station. You also hire taxi from the main city and also there are lots of plenty of autos.  One of the most amazing things is that the beautiful park is at the opposite of the Rama temple. That was the pond of Kodanda Rama temple before 20 years.
Visiting timings at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple are from 5 in morning till 8.30 in night. Reaching this temple is not a difficult task either as it is only 3 km away from Tirupati RTC Bus Stand. From Tirupati Railway station, it is about 2.5 km away.
